These images were taken during the tail-end of the 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict. Following the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers, Hamas executed rocket attacks, targeting Israeli cities and infrastructure, resulting in seven weeks of Israeli operations. The Israeli strikes, the Palestinian rocket attacks and the ground fighting resulted in the death of thousands of people, the vast majority of them Gazans.
